TECHNOLOGY STRENGTHENS SAFETY AT EVENTS

The chair of Parkville Old Town Market Community Improvement District (CID) has recognized Leah and Jason Maki, owners of Relevate One, for its donation of AI-enabled public safety services at this year’s Memorial Day carnival in Downtown Parkville.

As part of a deliberate effort to strengthen public safety at community events, the CID contacted Relevate One — a Parkville-area technology company owned by Leah and Jason Maki, both residents of the Parkville area — to deploy an overwatch managed services platforms throughout the event.

The donated services allowed local public safety personnel to scale their footprint, provided a highly visible deterrent, and delivered advanced real-time identification of threats to persons or property.

The overwatch platforms also secured the carnival grounds overnight, a recurring concern at similar events that have previously experienced disruptions from groups of young teenagers.

“Leah and Jason have shown an extraordinary commitment to this community,” said Tom Hutsler. “Their willingness to invest their own technology, time, and resources into keeping families, vendors, and staff safe at our signature events sets a standard the rest of us should aspire to. Parkville is a better and safer place because of what they do.”

Andrew Evans, owner of the carnival, said the on-site Overwatch platforms made a tangible difference. “Having the Overwatch mobile surveillance platforms there made the event significantly safer,” Evans said. “It gave me and my staff real confidence that we were protected from anything that might go wrong. We’re very appreciative of what Leah, Jason, and the Relevate One team have done for us.”

This is not Relevate One’s first contribution to public safety in Parkville. The company has previously donated comparable services to the City of Parkville for Christmas on the River and Parkville Microbrew Fest (Brewfest). Their investments that have meaningfully scaled the reach and effectiveness of the Parkville Police Department at the city’s largest events.

About Relevate One: Relevate One is a Parkville-based technology company that provides AI-enabled platforms for access control, video surveillance, public safety, event security, and property protection. The company’s solutions include scalable mobile surveillance, gun detection, threat identification, and around-the-clock site security — capabilities designed to extend the reach of local law enforcement and event organizers without adding staffing burden.
