There will be no charges filed in the case of the missing $2,000 from the office of the Platte County Circuit Court Clerk. The money, which was part of a child support payment fund, was discovered missing in December. A lengthy audit of the office followed, but the audit was inconclusive in identifying a suspect, authorities report. “We’re not closing it as unsolvable. We’re leaving it as an open investigation,” said Major Greg Crader with the Platte County Sheriff’s Department.
Students in Christine O’Brien’s eighth grade class just recently finished their individual biography as their class reading project at Platte City Middle School. The students researched their lives by gathering pictures and talking with parents, friends and relatives. A roaring 50s dance, arranged by Niki Stratman, earned a trophy and a trip to interstate for Hoover Heroes at the Platte County 4-H Share the Fun held Saturday. Members made t heir own felt skirts.
