There will be no charges filed in the case of the missing $2,000 from the office of the Platte County Circuit Court Clerk. The money, which was part of a child support payment fund, was discovered missing in December. A lengthy audit of the office followed, but the audit was inconclusive in identifying a suspect, authorities report. “We’re not closing it as unsolvable. We’re leaving it as an open investigation,” said Major Greg Crader with the Platte County Sheriff’s Department.
