An April 7 wedding is planned for Cheryl Phillips and Jim Zech. The bride is a registered nurse working in intensive/coronary care at Methodist Medical Center in St. Joseph. Her fiancé recently earned a degree in agriculture business from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. He plans on farming in the Maryville area. Cheryl is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Jantzen, Platte City.


Betty Lou Buckler of Platte City and Billy Ray Huntsman of Kansas City announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Teri Lou, to Nathan D. York son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley York of Ferrelview. Teri is a senior at the Platte City High School and is employed at the Ramada Inn. Nathan is a 1975 graduate from the North Platte High School and has attended classes two years at Missouri Western College and is employed at B.F. Goodrich in Kansas City. The couple set their wedding date for Saturday, Jan. 27, 1979 at the First Baptist Church in Dearborn at 6 p.m. A reception will follow at the Exhibition Hall, Fairgrounds, Tracy, at 8 p.m. After a short honeymoon trip, they will make their home in Dearborn.
