A 60-year-old Kansas City man suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 29 near 112th Street in Platte County.

The crash occurred as both vehicles were traveling southbound on I-29 just north of 112th Street at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9. According to a crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2001 Lincoln Town Car driven by Donald M. Perkins, 60, of Kansas City was preparing to exit onto 112th Street when it was struck in the rear by a 2015 Ford Transit Van being driven by Mark A. Watkins, 54, of Kansas City. The van came to an uncontrolled rest in the lane while the Lincoln came to an uncontrolled rest on the right shoulder.
