Mrs. Rachel Clarke and Orville Hein were married Friday evening, Oct. 24, 1975 at the First Christian Church in Platte City with the Rev. Lester M. Weeks officiating. Mrs. Hein is clerk of magistrate court of Platte County and Mr. Hein is employed by Trans World Airlines.


The Platte City Pirates rolled to their seventh victory of the season in defeating the North Platte Panthers 61-26 in a game Oct. 24 at Dearborn. The victory left Platte City at 7-0-1 on the season, while dropping North Platte’s record to 5-3.

In a brief ceremony recently, Esther Wright, of Platte City, retired from McCormick Distilling Company after 15 years.


Mrs. Ruth Reynolds of Platte City and Odie A. Price of Leavenworth were united in marriage by the Rev. Ken Lutgen, Jr. at the Platte City United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. on Oct. 18.


Mr. and Mrs. Grover Lober entertained at their home in Dearborn, the Blackwood Gospel Singers at a late supper Sunday evening.
