A son, Johnnie Allen, was born Sept. 4, 1990 to Deborah and Curtis McGraw. Maternal grandparents are Jim and Ruth Kincaid of Camden Point. Paternal grandparents are Martha Davis, Weston, and Clarence McGraw, Brookfield, Mo. Johnnie Allen was born at 2:36 a.m. and was welcomed home by a brother, James.
Two Platte County R-3 students, Tiffany Cordova and Julie Hall, were among junior volunteers recognized recently at Spelman Memorial Hospital. They are among 35 teenage volunteers who contributed 1,665 hours of service during June, July and August.
Employees at Miller-Donnelli Agency, Inc. recently honored Yvonne Parrett for 20 years of service with the agency. Yvonne, a native of Weston, Mo., started with Miller-Donnelli and remained working with Carl C. Donnelli until his death this past July.
All youth grades 7-12 are invited to a Back to School Youth Bash and wiener roast in the parking lot at First United Methodist Church, Platte City, Sunday afternoon Sept. 23 from 5-8 p.m.
