FREE COMMUNITY EVENT SET FRIDAY, JULY 3

The City of Riverside is hosting one of the biggest nights in its 75-year history this week–and it’s free and open to the public.

It’s a celebration of three historic milestones, including the FIFA World Cup, America’s 250th birthday and Riverside’s 75th anniversary, all under one roof.

It will take place on Friday, July 3 at the brand new Morton Amphitheater at 6150 NW Music Blvd. in Riverside.

Gate open at 3 p.m. and a fireworks show will close out the night at 10:45 p.m. In between, there will be plenty to see and do.

The event features two live FIFA World Cup match streams: the 5 p.m. match from Miami and the 8:30 p.m. match played in Kansas City.

Additional activities include a kids zone, soccer zone, KC Art Walk, a 24-person video game trailer, face painting, bounces house, a scavenger hunt with a chance to win tickets to an upcoming show at Morton Amphitheater, selfie stations, food trucks and much more.

Admission and parking are free.

Riverside’s connection to the 2026 FIFA World Cup runs deeper than this celebration. The city serves as the official base camp for the Netherlands national team during the tournament, putting this small Missouri city of 4,500 residents on the world stage alongside some of the sport’s biggest names.

“What an incredible time to be a part of this community,” said Kathy Rose, Riverside mayor. “We are celebrating three monumental milestones at once. I cannot think of a better way to bring Riverside together than a night like this. My heart is full just thinking about it.”

Riverside Watch Party is open to all. Food trucks, vendor booths and concessions will be available for purchase.
