Local police officers arrested Charles Barlow, the driver of a semi, early Monday morning on traffic charges then found suspected drugs on his rig. Barlow is being held on $75,000 bond in the Platte County Jail. At about 2:15 a.m., Platte City police officers John Kampe and Jeff Faudere and Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Julie Kerr stopped the semi on traffic charges at Hwy. 92 and I-29. The driver was arrested after it was determined that he was the same person who allegedly furnished methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled drug, to a person in Platte City on Jan. 25. Police said a search of the tractor revealed a shotgun and vial containing suspected methamphetamine.
