Don’t look now but The Landmark has been On the Road Again, this time in Belize. A copy of The Landmark was along for the trip when Tom Bernard, a longtime Platte County resident, was in Belize with his friend Lily. Tom says it was his “first time out of the great ol’ USA since pre-Covid.” He said there was no language barrier, the atmosphere was very accommodating, and they always felt safe. “I was itching to do the great barrier reef, but the winds that day made it difficult, but indulging on the freshest of fish, fruits and vegetables at every hidden roadside or back alley of the cobblestone streets of old San Pedro  made it all worthwhile. Witnessing the vibrant balance of old and new Belize was an experience in itself,” Tom said. Headed somewhere noteworthy? Take a copy of The Landmark and snap a photo with the newspaper prominently displayed. Email your photo and information to ivan@plattecountylandmark.com.
