The first ever Main Street Celebration was held in Downtown Platte City Friday night through Saturday, June 7-8 on Main Street. Sponsoring organization was the Downtown Platte City Association. On Friday evening, Noah Austin performed country music outside of Barley & Vine wine bar. Barley & Vine had a good-sized crowd inside its doors at 246 Main. Saturday’s daytime activities included a pop-up car show with some classic rides parked on the south side of Main Street in the 200 block, and several vendors lined both sides of the street.
