Mr. and Mrs. Pete Cummings of Farley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary quietly at their home. They were married April 6, 1929 in Denver, Colorado.


Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Rollins of Platte City announce the engagement of their daughter, Cindy Jo, to Ronald W. Shineman, Jr., of Kansas City, Mo. Cindy is a 1977 graduate of Platte County High School and is in her sophomore year at Avila College in Kansas City, where she plans to receive her B.S. in nursing. Ronald is 1976 graduate of Northwest High School and is now employed by Harrington Construction Company in Blue Springs.

Leslie E. Dyer, Platte County Circuit Court, will receive the Masonic honor of a 50-year membership from the Rushville Masonic Lodge AF&AM No. 238 at the Rushville Lodge Hall. Leslie Dyer will be presented the pin by Right Worshipful Brother Charles T. Jones.


Miss Karla K. Weigman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Kent Weigman of Weston, and John David Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Shaw of Platte City, were united in marriage on March 19, 1979 at the Weston Christian Church. The Rev. W.R. Tucker performed the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Honorable Judge John M. Yeaman.
