The Platte County Pirates lost in the battle with the West Platte Blue Jays 13-7 last Friday night at Weston. For a while it looked like a tie game, but with only 41 seconds left in the game, West Platte’s Don Black scored on a two-yard run to cap an 82-yard drive in nine plays. The kick failed.
