The football complex at Platte Ridge Park will be seeing some improvements as the result of some approvals given by the Platte County Commission last week.
The commission okayed a contract with McClure Design Services for the purposes of designing the complex. The fields are already in place. Design will include the expansion of parking in that area, a loop trail with access to the multipurpose fields, and design of a concession building with a bathroom, county officials said.
Amount of the contract with McClure is $8,500.
The commission also approved the installation a multiple sets of bleachers on concrete on either side of the field at the 30-yard line, said Daniel Erickson, county parks director.
Gametime Turf Care will supply and install the bleachers at a cost of $71,100.
Platte Ridge Park is a county facility located north of Tracy along Hwy. 371.
The multipurpose fields were completed four or five years ago. The Platte County Youth Football League is the primary user of the fields, Erickson said.
