Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Babcock will observe their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 27 with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Camden Point Christian Church. All friends and relatives are invited.


Miss Kathryn Louise Morgan and Alan Dean Marshall were married June 5, 1976 in the old sanctuary of the Platte Woods United Methodist Church, Platte Woods, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wagers, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Paden and Patti, returned home this weekend from a two week vacation in California, Mexico and Arizona. The group visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vasarhelyi and Tom Wilson of Glendale, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Archdekin of Burbank, Calif. were hosts to the group for a buffet dinner, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fitzgerald, Karen and Angela, and Mrs. Brenda DeJarnett and Chad of Mesa, Arizona. A lot of visiting and sightseeing were enjoyed in the two weeks.


Rev. and Mrs. Donovan Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Babcock, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Flint and Jenny visited Mr. and Mrs. Bud Edwards, Tuesday evening and enjoyed cake and ice cream for Donovan’s birthday.


Pledging full time representation and a people-oriented campaign, Mrs. Betty Gregoire announced her candidacy for the Missouri Legislature 17th District, which includes most of Platte County. Mrs. Gregoire is a former public school teacher and has been active in public service projects.
