The City of Platte City has a mystery-what happened to our flag? Mary Lou Highlander, office manager, reported the city recently put up a new American flag only to find it missing from the flag pole and the rope broken. Anybody with clues is asked to contact the city offices.

The Main Street Association of Platte City will honor Platte City and Platte County War Veterans, prominent citizens, and settlers in celebration of its colorful past Monday, May 28. Joseph Morgan, the only Revolutionary War solider to be buried in Platte County will be honored.
