Platte County Fair set July 24-27

The annual Platte County Fair is next week at the fairgrounds in Tracy.

Fair dates will be Wednesday, July 24 through Saturday, July 27.

Admission is $15 at the gate. Cash only at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free. All tickets are general admission, seating is not guaranteed.

You’ll get all the activities, events, rules, and more listed on the fair’s website, which can be found at plattecountyfair.com.

Grandstand events will include a rodeo on opening night, demolition derby action on both Thursday and Friday nights; and truck and tractor pull on Saturday night.

Here are some of the highlights:

Wednesday, July 24
4 p.m.: 4-H events open to the public at Mack Myers Building.
5 p.m. Floral Hall exhibits; krautburger stand; Mildred Knighton Café; Overflow Saloon.
6 p.m. Carnival; Dirty Shame Saloon; Grand Beer Stand; Bremer Beer Stand; Marcos on the Midway; Nick’s Barnyard Buddies Petting Zoo.
6:30 p.m.: Missy/Master Contest at Platte Purchase Building.
7 p.m.: Rodeo at the grandstand.
7:30 p.m.: Queen contest at Platte Pavilion.
8 p.m: Live music by Hudson Drive in the Dirty Shame Saloon.
10 p.m.: Karaoke with DJ Luke at the Platte Pavilion.

Thursday, July 25:
4 p.m.: 4-H events open to the public.
5 p.m. Floral Hall exhibits; krautburger stand; Mildred Knighton Café; Overflow Saloon.
6 p.m. Carnival; Dirty Shame Saloon; Grand Beer Stand; Bremer Beer Stand; Marcos on the Midway; Nick’s Barnyard Buddies Petting Zoo.
7 p.m.: Demolition Derby at the grandstand.
8 p.m.: Karaoke with DJ Luke at the Platte Pavilion.
9 p.m.: Live music by Hudson Drive in the Dirty Shame.

Friday, July 26
8:30 a.m.: 4-H Events open to the public, 4-H/FFA sheep and goats show at Mack Myers Building.
4 p.m.: 4-H events open to the public at Mack Myers Building.
5 p.m. Floral Hall exhibits; krautburger stand; Mildred Knighton Café; Overflow Saloon.
6 p.m. Carnival; Dirty Shame Saloon; Grand Beer Stand; Bremer Beer Stand; Marcos on the Midway; Nick’s Barnyard Buddies Petting Zoo.

9 a.m.: Horse Show; kids games registration.
10 a.m.: Cornhole tournament registration begins; Floral Hall exhibits; kids games; Mildred Knighton Café; horseshoe pitching tournament.
12 p.m.: Overflow Saloon at Platte Purchase Building.
1 p.m. Carnival opens, $20 armbands.
4 p.m.: 4-H events open to the public.
5 p.m.: Krautburger stand opens at the speaker stand.
6 p.m.: Bremer Beer stand; carnival continues; DirtyShame opens, Grand Beer Stand; Marcos on the Midway; Petting Zoo
6 p.m.: Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull at the grandstand.
8 p.m.: Karaoke with DJ Luke at Platte Pavilion.
9 p.m.: Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders at the Dirty Shame Saloon.
