I have concerns I believe the citizens of Platte City need to be aware of.
City Hall has lost two department heads. A building inspector and the public works director have both resigned. There are no replacements hired to date. Both cited issues with the Board of Aldermen.
Another department head has started using sick leave to take off every Wednesday, which is against city policy.
If you have visited city hall, you will notice large fans and drum-sized appliances that seem to be some sort of dehumidifier. There has been mold found in the HVAC system of the fairly new building.
I hope the citizens of Platte City can figure out what is going on with this town.
