TREATING A VARIETY OF ILLNESSES AND INJURIES

Saint Luke’s recently celebrated the official opening of Saint Luke’s Urgent Care–Parkville, a new access point designed to bring timely, high-quality care closer to home for families throughout the Northland.

Saint Luke’s Urgent Care–Parkville, located off Hwy. 9 and NW 62nd Street, can see patients six months and older and is open on weekdays, evenings, and has weekend hours.

“The new clinic reflects Saint Luke’s long-standing mission: meeting patients where they are, when they need us most. Health concerns don’t always wait for an appointment,” says Mike Main, MD, Saint Luke’s (West Region of BJC) chief clinical officer and Saint Luke’s Physician Group president.

“That’s why we’re committed to helping people across the metro get safe, timely care for a variety of illnesses and injuries that need same-day attention without a trip to the emergency department. Expanding our urgent care options does just that.”

You do not need to be a Saint Luke’s patient to see a provider at Saint Luke’s Urgent Care. Appointments are encouraged to help reduce wait times, especially during times of widespread community illness—December through February.

The skilled nurse practitioners at Urgent Care–Parkville will be able to treat things such as sprains, strains, and fractures, fever and flu, minor burns and lacerations, cough and sore throats, ear and sinus infections, allergies and allergic reactions, skin irritations and rashes, urinary tract infections, and more.

“Through the new urgent care clinic, we can reduce wait times at our hospital emergency departments for patients experiencing emergencies and ensure that our neighbors have another option for exceptional same-day care,” says Darren Bass, DPT, Saint Luke’s North and Critical Access Region president.

The opening of Saint Luke’s Urgent Care–Parkville is another step forward in serving the region, expanding access, strengthening community connections, and reinforcing the organization’s commitment to exceptional, compassionate care across the Northland.

The current location was a Saint Luke’s Convenient Care, which last day of operations was Dec. 9.

The official first day of being Saint Luke’s Urgent Care-Parkville was Dec. 10, providing a seamless transition of care for patients in the community.
