Amazon’s facility will be inside the KCI-29 Logistics Park, which is located near I-29 and Mexico City Avenue, northeast of KCI Airport.

Amazon’s e-commerce distribution center in Platte County is scheduled to occupy a 630,000 sq. ft. space at KCI-29.

Amazon’s project has been estimated as a $160 million investment and is scheduled to add 800 jobs initially, and as many as 1,500 jobs in time, according to incentives approved by the KC Port Authority, as reported by the Kansas City Business Journal.

Ace Hardware Corp. already occupies a 1.5 million sq. ft. facility inside the KCI-29 Logistics Park.

As recently reported in The Landmark, a $100 billion data center complex is also on the way inside the KCI-29 Logistics Park. The economic development code name for that project is “Project Kestrel.”

The economic development code name for the Amazon distribution center is “Project Falcon.”

The KCI-29 Logistics Park is a 3,300-acre development with direct access to the airport’s cargo hub and major interstates.

Currently, there is an Amazon delivery station located in Riverside at 3950 NW Helena Road. It is described as a last-mile delivery station, not a full-scale fulfillment or distribution center, but it is a key part of Amazon’s logistics network. The Riverside location is specifically identified as a delivery station, a last-mile delivery facility that handles the final leg of a delivery to customers.
