The Platte County R-3 School District was informed through the office of State Sen. Truman Wilson an additional $110,000 will be available for the purchase of the remaining equipment for the Platte County Vocational Technical School. The Vo-Tech School will serve not only the Platte County R-3 School District but will also serve the West Platte School District, North Platte School District, Smithville School District and the Park Hill School District. The Vo-Tech School is scheduled to open in August of 1981.
Scott Fleshman, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Fleshman, has earned his Eagle Scout Award. Scott, a member of Boy Scout Troop 640 of Camden Point, will be presented his Eagle Scout Award at an Eagle Court of Honor Sunday evening at New Market Christian Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Shroyer of Weston announce the birth of their son, Jeremy Blair Shroyer, on Feb. 28 at the Missouri Methodist Medical Center in St. Joseph. He has two brothers, Gerald and Cory. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Shroyer of Easton, the maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Randall Harvey of Redwood Falls, Minn.
