“That crazy Landmark paper is in Niagara Falls, Canada!” is how word of this recent trip reached the ears of The Landmark. Susan Baker and travelers with Friends Travel Group recently returned from an eight day trip to Mackinac Island, the Grand Hotel and Niagara Falls, Canada (pictured). Mackinac Island is an island and resort area in the state of Michigan. The group began their journey in Detroit, Mich. where they toured the River Rouge Plant where the Ford F150 is built, the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Henry Ford Museum. Traveling north they ferried across Lake Huron and stayed at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. After returning to the mainland they traveled south to the small German town of Frankenmuth, visiting the world’s largest Christmas store. Final days of the tour were spent in the beautiful Niagara Falls area. Heading somewhere? Take a copy of The Landmark with you and snap a picture with the newspaper displayed.
