Zona’s Concerts in the Park will take place at Central Park, which is the green space next to Bravo Italian Restaurant in Zona Rosa.

The concerts will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Fridays beginning on Sept. 6 and running through Oct. 11.

The fall concert series comes on the heels of a summer series held during the months of June and July at Zona.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair, blanket and friends and enjoy the fall concerts in September and October. Zona Rosa encourages the public to “come early for and get dinner at any of our restaurants.”

Zona Rosa is an approximately one million square feet mixed-use lifestyle center located in Kansas City, Platte County. The project opened in 2004 and was expanded by an additional 500,000 square feet starting in 2008, including the addition of Dillard’s, which moved from Metro North Mall.

Zona Rosa was developed by Steiner+Associates, known for the Easton Town Center development in Columbus, Ohio. Zona is currently anchored by Old Navy, Barnes & Noble and Dillard’s.

Zona Rosa is currently managed by Trademark Property based in Fort Worth, Tex.

Zona Rosa was conceptualized as Kansas City’s inaugural urban town center, designed to create a pedestrian-friendly environment. At its opening, the development boasted 30 stores and restaurants, a number that has since grown to 140 retail spaces.

Named after an urban shopping district of the same name in Mexico City, Zona Rosa was spearheaded by Steiner + Associates Inc. and Mall Properties Inc., now known as Olshan Properties.

Following is the schedule for the September and October Friday night concert series:

SEPTEMBER

Friday, Sept. 6: The Champagne.
The Champagne is one of Kansas City’s newest party bands, covering songs ranging from old school classics to modern day pop, rock, and country hits.

Friday, Sept.13: Right on Red.

Friday, Sept. 20: KC Rukus.
