Barley & Vine, an upscale brewery, wine bar and specialty wine shop in Downtown Platte City, was celebrated by the Platte City Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, March 8. Barley & Vine opened in November in a freshly renovated building at 246 Main Street, next to the former Landmark Newspaper building. Owner Laura Lowry, center in front, cut the ribbon with help from employees and patrons. Barley & Vine offered happy hour specials immediately after the ribbon cutting, and celebrated International Women’s Day that evening with happy hour specials for ladies all night long.
