The flood-delayed 130th annual Platte County Fair is set for next Wednesday through Saturday, Aug. 25-28 at the county fairgrounds in Tracy. It was originally scheduled for July 13-17 but had to be postponed because of flooding conditions in Tracy. The postponement cost the fair one of its featured attractions, which was to be a concert performance by popular country music group Confederate Railroad.

John D. and Betty L. (Banks) McDaniel of Faucett will observe their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 28 from 2-4 p.m. at the Willowbrook Community Center in Willowbrook, Mo.
