The Platte County R-3 High School Band Choir will present a Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the Platte City Middle School auditorium.


One of the newest additions to the town of Dearborn is Yesterday’s “Memories,” an antique shop where dreams of David Bloomberg, Trans World retiree, and his wife, Doris, an American Family Insurance retiree, have come true. Nearly a year ago, the couple totally remodeled the building and opened the store, which was their dream.

Raymond and Bonnie (Brubeck) Sanders will celebrate their golden anniversary on Dec. 15 at the Platte County Vo-Tech Building, Platte City. The event will be hosted by their children and families, Ellagene Wilkerson and Cindy Baker.


In Tuesday night’s KCI Tournament action, the Lady Pirates slipped past Cameron 54-48 in the girls tourney at Platte City while the Pirates were losing to Lawson 57-50 in the boys event at Lathrop.


Donald and Roberta Wilson of Weston are the parents of a boy, born Nov. 25, 1991, at Humana Hospital, Overland Park, Kan. He weighed eight pounds and eight ounces and measured 21 inches long. He has been named Wesley Donald and is welcomed home by two sisters, Amanda, age six, and Lauren, age 3.
