About the decision by the Platte County Board of Commissioners to withhold federal CARES money from the Platte County Board of Health and the City of Kansas City: While this decision for the Kansas City share does not affect the entire Platte County area, the health department does. However, over 50% of Platte County is in Kansas City and the other counties that also are in Kansas City are sharing the CARES money as directed.
