Christine Marie O’Gorman and Timothy Drew Augspurg were married April 2, 1994 at the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on Park College Campus in Parkville. The bride, a 1988 graduate of Platte County R-3 High School, is the daughter of Linda Ayers of Parkville and Patrick K. O’Gorman II of Houston, Tex. The groom is the son of Marion and Darlene Augspurg of Palmyra, Mo.
Shiloh Springs was the name officially given to the Platte County Golf Club at groundbreaking ceremony held Saturday at the Bethel Road site. Local residents instrumental in helping the dream of a county golf course become a reality turned out to watch the county commissioners. The developer and committee chairmen turned over ceremonial shovels of Platte County soil. Shiloh Springs encompasses 123 acres on the east side of Bethel Road one quarter mile north of Hwy. 92. It is scheduled to open in the spring of 1995.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Department recovered four pickup truckloads of stolen optical goods Wednesday morning on Interurban Road by Settle’s Station. A citizen reported finding the 65 boxes of sunglasses, tripods, field glasses and scopes estimated to be worth $25,000. Cpt. Greg Crader of the investigations division believes the property is part of a trailer load stolen in Clay County in March of this year.
