Boy Scout Troops 248 and 351 of Platte City and Camden Point Boy Scout Troop left Monday by bus for 10 days of camping at Camp Osceola. Several adult leaders are also attending this session.


Open house will be held this weekend at the new building just recently completed by the Bank of Weston at 800 Hwy. 45 at Weston. Construction began on the building on Oct. 20, 1978 and continued through the winter. The public is invited this weekend to help celebrate this major addition to the Weston community.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sampson of Platte City announce the birth of their son, James Robert, on June 18, 1979 at the Spelman Memorial Hospital in Smithville. The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dean Schmitt and the paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sampson, all of Platte City.


The free picture shows starting in Platte City next Wednesday night will be held on the lots owned by Platte County just west of the swimming pool.
