Platte County’s Lady Pirates volleyball team wrapped up a district championship last week then lost in the first round of sectional competition to a solid Oak Grove club. Platte County was the host school for the Class 3A District 16 volleyball tournament. The local girls opened the tourney with an easy first round win over Lincoln Academy by scores of 15-1, 15-6.
