THE PETITE FRAME AND THE BOUTIQUE COLLECTIVE
Zona Rosa, the premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in the Northland, will welcome The Petite Frame to its growing community of retailers.
The new pop-up boutique, founded by Kansas City native and entrepreneur Jessica Reynolds, will open at 7250 NW 86th Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64153, in 1,380 square feet of retail space in July.
The Petite Frame is a contemporary fashion boutique designed exclusively for women between 4’10” and 5’4″, a segment the CDC confirms encompasses the majority of American women, yet one that has been consistently overlooked by mainstream retail.
At most major stores, petite sections are limited, inconsistently proportioned, and often available online only.
The Petite Frame is built to be the antidote: a destination where every style, every size run, and every fit decision is made with petite women in mind.
Reynolds, who stands 5’2″ herself, has spent her career close to the retail industry, brings more than 16 years of experience in ecommerce and retail management from national and international brands. As a Kansas City native, mom, businesswoman, and professor, she has lived the ‘fit frustrations’ petite women face firsthand and saw a clear opportunity to create something better.
She launched The Petite Frame as an online-only concept in February 2026, and the early response validated what she had long believed: there is a passionate and underserved community of petite shoppers ready for a brand built around them.
The Zona Rosa location will open with 65–75 curated styles spanning tees and basics, tops and sweaters, denim, dresses, and accessories offered in petite-friendly sizing with consistent proportions across every brand carried.
The in-store experience will feature styled displays, personalized fit consultations, and a contemporary aesthetic designed to feel elevated without being exclusive. Prices range from $30 for basics to $120 for denim and investment pieces.
“Zona Rosa has always championed local entrepreneurs and community focused retail, and The Petite Frame is exactly the kind of concept our shoppers have been waiting for,” said Scott Zigler, general manager of Zona Rosa. “Jessica has built a local concept with real purpose, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to the Northland.”
“For too long, petite women have had to settle for fewer options, poor proportions, and styles that weren’t designed for their body,” said Reynolds. “The Petite Frame is my answer to that. I want every woman who walks through our doors to leave feeling like the store was made just for her because it was.”
In addition to The Petite Frame opening, Zona Rosa will also welcome a second location led by The Boutique Collective founder Jennifer Reichert. The local entrepreneur is expanding at Zona Rosa after opening The Boutique Collective in May 2026 with an additional concept.
The Boutique Collective – The Willow is set to open June 11.
The second boutique location will feature 35-40 local vendors offering women’s and men’s boutiques, food, home décor and more, with vendors distinct from those featured at the original Boutique Collective – The Blossom location.
The Boutique Collective – The Willow will be located inside the former Altar’d State location in a 5,660 square-foot space at 7420 NW 87th, Kansas City, MO 64153.
The Petite Frame joins a growing list of local brands that have recently opened at Zona Rosa including The Boutique Collective, Herbs N Harlem, Hula Hoop KC, along with national retailers like Burlington Stores Inc. opening later this summer opening in July 2026..
