By Friday afternoon, the emergency repair of a sewer line at the foot of Platte City’s Main Street between Knighton’s Body Shop and the Platte River was nearing completion. Stinnett Construction has installed just over 180 feet of 12” PVC pipe to bypass an old section of 8” pipe that had repeatedly clogged up and was buried under 40 feet of fill. A new manhole is also being constructed, which will be 32 feet deep, according to Bob Stinnett.
