EDITOR:

In a statement to KSHB 41 concerning the recently filed lawsuit that intends to overturn rejection of the Platte County Children’s Service Fund, Platte County Commissioner Joe Vanover said that it was “disgusting” that the “radical left” should spend charitable donated funds to further health care for minors.

Potholes on I-29 at Platte City

Is this different than the radical right spending $80,000 of taxpayer dollars to educate Platte County voters to vote the way the commissioners wanted then to vote on the jail tax issue?

Vanover’s full statement to KSHB 41:

“The radical left only cares about raising taxes and advancing their woke agenda. Instead of helping children, they are wasting money on lawyers. Groups like Beacon Mental Health and Feed Northland Kids are supposed to be charities, but they diverted thousands for a political campaign last election. It is disgusting when so-called charities raise money for children but spend it on lawsuits and politics.”
