Closing, detour info listed for Hwy. 92 bridge project

SOUTHBOUND I-29 NEAR BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED THIS WEEKEND

The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic modifications for bridge rehabilitation work on Missouri Route 92 at the bridge over I-29 in Platte City.

New bridge going in on Hwy. Z

As previously announced, the Hwy. 92 bridge at I-29 will be closed for repairs from June 10 to Friday, Aug. 16.

Motorists should follow signed detour. All work is weather permitting.

•Various nighttime lane closures on southbound I-29 at Missouri Route 92 starting daily between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Monday, June 10 until Friday, August 16.

•Northbound I-29 will have various lane closures for nighttime work from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday, June 17 until Friday, Aug. 16.

•Southbound I-29 under the bridge at Hwy. 92 and eastbound Hwy. 92 to southbound I-29 ramp will be closed starting daily Friday, June 21 at 7 p.m. until Monday, June 24 at 6 a.m.

•Southbound I-29 will be closed for bridge deck removal over interstate, southbound ramps will be used to detour traffic around bridge reconstruction starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 28 until Monday, July 1 at 6 a.m.

•Eastbound Hwy. 92 ramp to southbound I-29 will be closed for bridge deck removal over interstate starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 28 until Monday, July 1 at 6 a.m.


DETOUR INFORMATION

There will be signed detours guiding traffic.

Southbound I-29 to eastbound Hwy. 92: Those wanting to travel eastbound on Hwy. 92 from southbound I-29 will use Exit 13 (Route D) then travel northbound to the I-29 off-ramp to eastbound Hwy. 92.

Northbound I-29 to westbound Hwy. 92: Those wanting to travel westbound on Hwy. 92 from northbound I-29 will be detoured to Hwy. HH interchange, then west on Hwy. HH over bridge to southbound I-29 on-ramp, then south on I-29 to westbound Hwy. 92.

Hwy. 92 over I-29: Those wanting to travel on Hwy. 92 over I-29 will be detoured to the Tracy exit.

The Platte City Special Road District work on Route N:

The Platte City Special Road District will be conducting operations on Route N (Hwy. N) between the Copper Ridge subdivision (NW 133rd Street) and the Seven Bridges subdivision (NW 129th Street) starting on Thursday, May 6 until Monday, Aug. 19. All work is weather permitting.
