Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Baker, Jr. of Platte City announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Ann Baker, to Devin Sherry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Sherry of Smithville. The future bride is a 1980 graduate of Platte County R-3 High School. She is employed at Platte Optometric Clinic in Platte City. Her fiancé is a 1978 graduate of Platte County R-3 High School. He is employed at Versatile Parts, Inc., in Kansas City. No wedding date has been set.


Miss Teresa Richeson has her eye on an eventual modeling career after being named Miss Photogenic at the ninth Miss Missouri National Teenager Pageant in Columbia. “I want to go to Barbizon Modeling School in Kansas City and plan to go into this or become an airline stewardess,” the 17-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Richeson of Camden Point says. Teresa was one of 15 semifinalists out of 63 contestants who competed in the pageant held at Stephens College May 23-25. She was also runner up to Miss Hospitality.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Gilkey of Parkville announce the marriage of their daughter, Karen McClung, to Sean Michael Lindsey, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lindsey of Independence, Mo. on June 12 in Biloxi, Miss. Mrs. Lindsey is now employed by Chicago Title Insurance Company in Platte City. Mr. Lindsey is with the United States Air Force stationed in Biloxi, Miss.
