Myles Perry gets circuit judge post

Myles A. Perry, of Kansas City, will be the newest circuit court judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit in Platte County. He will fill the vacancy created by the pending retirement of the current Platte County Circuit Court Judge Thomas C. Fincham. Fincham’s retirement is effective Dec. 31.

Perry is currently an assistant prosecuting attorney in the Platte County Prosecutor’s Office. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Park University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.

Perry’s appointment was announced last week by Gov. Mike Parson. He was chosen by the governor from a panel of three finalists that also included Abe “Quint” Shafer, a current associate circuit judge in Platte County, and Susan M. Casey, attorney in the United States District Court who is a career law clerk/chief of staff for federal Judge Roseann Ketchmark in Kansas City.
