The Platte County Commission on Thursday awarded a bid for a new cooling tower for the Platte County Administration Building. The bid award for $45,591 to Insight Mechanical Contractors will replace the original cooling tower which was installed when the building was first constructed in the early 1990s.


Braden Parker, son of Elisa and Eric Parker, was selected as the Little Master in the four-year-old division of the Little Missy/Master contest at the Platte County Fair. Grandparents are Sharon and Harold Sherwood of Platte City and Sandy Butler of St. Louis.
