The 1981 Platte County Fair Queen is Stephanie West, 18, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Billy Joe West of Kansas City. She is sponsored by Shawn Houx Horseshoeing and Sheepshearing. She is a graduate of Platte County R-3 High School and plans to attend Missouri University of Columbia in the fall. Her hobbies are horseback riding, training and showing dogs, showing sheep, 4-H and swimming.
Problems involving the police department and residents who had petitioned the Tracy Board of Aldermen to express their dissatisfaction with police actions have been resolved, Mayor Lila Lee Baker reports. A written policy for the police department has been formulated, following a closed meeting of the board last Tuesday, the mayor said.
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen L. Foster of Camden Point have announced the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Lorene, to Jeffrey Lynn Stubbs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Stubbs of Edgerton. The future bride is a 1980 graduate of North Platte High School. Her fiancé is a 1978 graduate of North Platte High School. The wedding will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Farley, at 2 p.m. on Aug. 8. All friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend the wedding and reception that follows.
