Betty Gregoire, Platte County assessor, has announced the members of her committee for the 1992 election. They are Joe and Jane Sherman, Rob and Harriet McGarvey, Lisa and Pat McCole, Don and Judy Stokes, Julie Pasini, Bruce Hahn, Jane Henry, Jerry Gregoire, and Jerry N. Gregoire of Wichita, Kan.


Mr. and Mrs. Raymond P. Grosko of Kansas City have announced the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen A. Grosko, to Brian D. Buford, son of Jerrie Buford, Platte City, and James D. Buford, Mission, Kan.

The Pirate Clipper, the student newspaper at Platte County R-3 High School, has been named an All-Missouri newspaper, the highest honor given by the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association.


The Platte County Commission Thursday named five members to the new Tax Increment Financing Commission. Appointed as nominees: Bob Jesso, Weatherby Lake; Al Tuins, R-5 district; E.T. Archer, engineers; Larry Reineke, Platte City; and Betty Burch, mayor of Riverside.


David and Kathy Burrows, Kansas City, Mo., announce the birth of their son. He has been named Thomas Charles.
