Two Platte City men have been charged in connection with a sweep through Platte and Clay counties last week by officers of the Northland Drug Task Force. Lt. Greg Crader of the Platte County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday that James D. James of Platte City is charge with two counts of sale of marijuana and Ryan L. Reed of Platte City is charged with two counts of sale of LSD.


Raymond and Helen Stubbs of Dearborn will be honored with an open house in observance of their 60 years of marriage at St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ. They have three sons, Leonard, Donald, Ralph; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The Park Hill High School pompon squad won first place in the 1992 Missouri state pompon competition in St. Louis . The team also placed second in the dance division of the competition. Park Hill competed against 23 high school teams from across the state. This is the second state championship by Park Hill in the past three years.


In the first varsity track meet of the season, the Platte County Lady Pirates ran their way to a first place finish in the Pem Hill Invitational on Friday.


Mr. and Mrs. Terry Boydston announce the birth of a baby boy. He has been named Cameron Hill.
