The iconic Wienermobile was a popular attraction Sunday, Jan. 23 near Zona Rosa’s Central Park. When the Wienermobile was first developed in 1936, the 13-foot hot dog on wheels transported its promoters. Today, the celebrated Wienermobile stands 11 feet high and stretches 27 feet long. It weighs 14,050 pounds, which is equivalent to a school bus. An Oscar Mayer spokesperson said the base frame was assembled by Spartan Motors in Charlotte, Mich.
