The Farley State Bank in Parkville was robbed Tuesday afternoon of an undisclosed amount of cash by a man who was reportedly armed with a handgun. The robber entered the bank about 3:15 p.m. and demanded money from a teller. The four employees and one customer in the bank were ordered to lie on the floor. An immediate search began and the getaway car was spotted a short time later. Officials believe the same man may be responsible for 10 bank robberies in the Kansas City area within the last 14 months.

Voters throughout Missouri Tuesday rejected Proposition B, a $385 million tax and educational reform proposal, by a 2-1 vote and Platte County voters joined the rest of the state in soundly defeating the plan.
