Teachers at Park Hill will get 3% salary hike

As part of a two year deal

Teachers in the Park Hill School District will get pay raises under a two year pact agreed to by the school board last week.

At a meeting on Thursday, May 27, the school board approved the salary schedules for 2021-22 and 2022-23, as proposed by the school district’s salary negotiations team.

City proposes 3% tax on marijuana

The salary schedules for all work groups include a three percent average compensation increase for 2021-22 and then a 3.5 percent increase for 2022-23.

In both years of the agreement, the district will contribute three percent to benefit costs increases for each employee.

A committee worked through the negotiations process in May, a process facilitated by Dr. Jill Owens of the NEA and Dr. Bill Redinger of the administration.

The negotiations committee consists of: Mandy Frayer, Dr. Paul Kelly, Dr. Mike Kimbrel, Sue McClung, Dr. Jill Owens, Dr. Bill Redinger, Ryan Turner, Dr. Jaime Dial, Nikki Scott and Mike Goorsky.
