The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed the southbound ramp from Interstate 29 to Hwy. 92 at Platte City from now until Tuesday, June 1 or possibly longer for interchange improvement work. It’s the beginning of the major project that will rebuild the interchange at I-29 and Hwy. 92. It will improve the intersection at Prairie View Road and Running Horse Road to the city limits, just east of I-29. Improvements include adding additional turn lanes, pedestrian crosswalks, and new signals. Completion is expected in the fall of 2021.
