Sgt. Mark Overton with the sheriff’s department did confirm the injured are a 21-year-old and a 23-year-old, who are being treated at area hospitals. A suspect is in custody and currently being interviewed by investigators, Overton said.

Sources tell The Landmark the shooting apparently occurred near what is known as the Triple R Airport near Dearborn, a small privately-owned airstrip. It is believed none of the victims or suspect are involved with the airport’s operation.

Authorities were on the scene Saturday morning and appeared to be searching for a weapon or other potential evidence, sources said.

The Landmark will have more details as information becomes available.
