Gladstone venue hosts free concerts June-October

Linden Square in Downtown Gladstone will be hopping on weekend evenings in the summer and into the early fall, with free live music on a regular basis.

Linden Square is located at 602 NE 70th Street in Gladstone. It’s a park featuring an amphitheater that hosts free concerts and other events. There are concessions available for purchase. The setting features indoor restrooms.

The summer fun at Linden begins Saturday, June 7 with an event called Food, Art, Drink. It runs from noon to 9 p.m. Musical acts performing on that day will include Terry Hancock, Cantaloupe City, Groove Pilots, and Cherry Bomb.

The rest of the schedule for live music looks like this, with each performance beginning at 7 p.m.

Friday, June 13: The Vincents (50s Rockabilly to Modern Hits)

Friday, June 20: Flashback (Motown, Disco, Funk).

Saturday, June 21: Simply Tina (Tina Turner tribute), Boogie Nights (disco funk show).

Friday, July 11: Jason Craig & The Wingmen (Modern, Prime, Old School Country).

Friday, July 18: Brass Rewind (Jazz-Rock Funk cover songs).

Saturday, July 19: Just What I Need (tribute to The Cars) and Bob Jovi (tribute to Bon Jovi).

Friday, July 25: Back Alley Brass (NOLA comes to Linden).

Friday, Aug. 8: Midnight Rodeo (Country Music).

Friday, Aug. 15: One Night Stand (Classic Rock).

Saturday, Aug. 16: Jillian Riscoe (Rock and Pop).

Friday, Aug. 22: Lyin’ Eyes (Tribute to The Eagles).

Friday, Aug. 29: The Truetones (Rock).

Friday, Sept. 5: Sass Monkey (Pop, Rock, Dance).

Friday, Sept 12: The Supermatics (Dance, Rock, Pop).

Saturday, Sept. 13: Taylor Made (Tribute to Taylor Swift).

Friday, Sept. 19: EZ Street (Classic Rock).

Friday, Sept. 26: KC Hussy (Country).

Saturday, Oct. 11, 4-8:30 p.m. Whiskey Fest featuring Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders and Silver Bullet & Petty Thieves.
