Despite a stay at home order in place, Maddox Broll celebrated her 5th birthday Saturday in grandiose style, complete with loud horns, strobe lights and flashy vehicles. As a drive-by parade of friends and family passed her Houston Lake home, many people showered her with birthday wishes, cards and gifts.

Firefighters and police officers from Riverside and the Platte County Sheriff’s Department led the parade, with friends and family followed close behind. Houston Lake Mayor Pam Freese and her teenage daughters presented Maddox with flowers and a kind birthday message. Last week, Maddox’s sister, Sydney, received a parade with similar fanfare.
