The Best Buy location in the Tiffany Springs Market Place, Kansas City in Platte County, is closing its doors. Signage at the store indicates the store is closing for good on Saturday, March 2. Company officials say Best Buy, an electronics and technology retailer, has been closing stores in underperforming locations, shutting down 15-20 large format stores yearly. A Best Buy store in St. Joseph closed in 2023.  The Tiffany Springs store was an original anchor tenant in the Tiffany Springs Market Place development when it opened in 2008, not far from I-29 and Hwy. 152.
