Collection of household hazardous waste was being performed on Saturday, June 5 at Platte Ridge Park north of Platte City on Hwy. 371. A long line of vehicles lined up ready to drop off things like paint, lawn and garden chemicals, batteries, automotive fluids, fluorescent light bulbs, household cleaners and much more. The event is brought to you by the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) solid waste management district, in conjunction with various local governmental agencies.
