Academy Sports has opened in the Tiffany Springs Market Center, Kansas City in Platte County.

The sporting goods retailer opened for business March 10 in the space formerly occupied by Best Buy at 9130 NW Skyview Ave., Kansas City. Best Buy, an original tenant of the market center since the center opened in 2008, vacated that 100,000 sq. ft. spot in March of 2024.

Last summer, Academy Sports announced plans to move into the space and remodeling work began. Academy Sports is known for a variety of products, including apparel, footwear and equipment for a range of sports and outdoor activities.

Academy Sports also offers equipment rental and other services.
