The Landmark has been on the road again, this time at the Winter Olympics in Italy. Landmark reader Lorie Hartley of the Northland, right, with her son, Spencer Hartley of Detroit, shown in front of the slopes on day two of their three-day Olympic events in Livigno, Italy. Lorie’s daughter, Taylor Hartley of Chicago, not pictured, was also along on the trip. “We had tickets for some ski events in Livigno. I found it interesting it was 90 miles from Milan, but a 4.5 hour bus ride. All events on one of the days were postponed due to all-day snow, around nine inches of snow that day. We were able to double up on some events, so it all worked out. We started out in Milan and did not have Olympic event tickets there, but went to some of the different countries’ houses to hang out and meet other cultures,” said Lorie.
“I have lived in the Northland for 25 years and have been reading The Landmark for years. Much appreciation to our small town local newspapers,” she added.
